RM 035, RM 027 & RM 67-02 — Carbon TPT Cases & Tourbillon Specifications
The Richard Mille super clone collection — the most technically demanding frontier of avant-garde horological replication. Recreating the tonneau-shaped architecture of Richard Mille requires mastering aerospace-grade composite materials and micro-mechanical skeletonisation. Our premium super clones use genuine Carbon TPT, Quartz TPT, ATZ ceramics, and synthetic sapphire crystal — delivering the hyper-lightweight wrist presence and skeletal transparency that define the brand’s engineering philosophy.
Richard Mille Super Clone References
- RM 035-01 / 035-02 “Rafael Nadal” — Carbon TPT case constructed from hundreds of parallel carbon filament layers compressed under high heat and pressure, producing the characteristic layered texture where no two cases are identical. Manual-wind skeletonised caliber, grade 5 titanium baseplate and bridges with PVD treatment
- RM 27-02 / 27-03 Tourbillon — The apex of shock-resistant engineering. Quartz TPT case construction, powered by a manual-wind flying tourbillon with the carriage rotating at 6 o’clock, rated to withstand extreme G-force loads during athletic activity
- RM 055 “Bubba Watson” — ATZ white ceramic bezel and caseback combined with a rubberised grade 5 titanium caseband. Transparent dial reveals the PVD-treated baseplate and bridges in full
- RM 67-02 Extra Flat Automatic — Ultra-thin ergonomic tonneau profile in coloured Quartz TPT, paired with the seamless elastic strap for direct wrist contact and minimal case rise
- RM Sapphire Editions — Cases milled from blocks of synthetic sapphire crystal, offering 360-degree transparency and unobstructed view of the tourbillon architecture
Collector Notes: Carbon TPT Layering & Spline Screws
The structural authenticity of a Richard Mille super clone is judged on two criteria: carbon layering fidelity and case hardware. Genuine Carbon TPT is produced by stacking carbon filaments at alternating angles — each layer approximately 30 microns thick — and fusing them under high-pressure heat treatment. The result is a unique topographical surface pattern across every case. Lower-tier replicas use printed patterns or thick-layer forged carbon that produces a coarser, more uniform appearance under close inspection. Our builds use actual carbon fibre composite construction with the correct layered surface character.
Cases are assembled with the correct 5-point grade 5 titanium spline screws — not standard hex or star-head fasteners — requiring the correct torque tools for disassembly. This hardware detail is one of the most immediately verifiable markers of a correctly assembled Richard Mille case.
Skeletonised Calibers vs. Decorative Plates
At this tier of replication, the movement is the dial. Lower-tier RM replicas use basic base movements covered by a static printed plate where no gear trains are visible in motion. Our premium Richard Mille super clones use bespoke skeletonised calibers with functioning gear trains, balance wheels, and mainspring barrels physically integrated into the visible dial architecture. On tourbillon references, the carriage rotation is verified for correct timing across a full 60-second cycle. Every RM’s carbon surface, spline screw seating, and movement function is tested through our pre-shipment quality control process before dispatch.
