126600 Single Red & Deepsea 136660 D-Blue — Ring Lock System & Clone Cal.3235
The Rolex Sea-Dweller super clone collection — spanning the 43mm Sea-Dweller and 44mm Deepsea architectures. Each reference is powered by clone Cal. 3235 and forged from 904L Oystersteel. The Sea-Dweller line is defined by its robust proportions, Cerachrom ceramic bezels, helium escape valve, and the Ring Lock System on Deepsea references — engineering features that distinguish it from the Submariner at a structural level.
Sea-Dweller & Deepsea Super Clone References
- Sea-Dweller 43 126600 “Single Red” — 43mm Oystersteel case, clone Cal. 3235. Correct red “Sea-Dweller” dial text referencing the original 1967 Single Red vintage designation. Cyclops lens over the date, fully brushed Oyster bracelet with Glidelock extension, 1,220m water resistance rating
- Sea-Dweller 43 126603 Rolesor — 43mm Yellow Rolesor configuration (Oystersteel and 18k yellow gold), clone Cal. 3235. Black dial with gold-tone dial text, matching yellow gold centre links on the Oyster bracelet
- Deepsea 136660 “D-Blue / James Cameron” — 44mm Oystersteel case with titanium caseback, clone Cal. 3235. The current-generation Deepsea. D-Blue gradient dial transitioning from deep blue to black at the base, neon green “Deepsea” text. Ring Lock System, 5.5mm domed sapphire crystal, 3,900m water resistance. No Cyclops lens — the massive crystal does not accommodate the lens without compromising pressure integrity. Slimmer bezel profile and larger date window versus the previous 126660
- Deepsea 126660 “D-Blue / James Cameron” — 44mm predecessor reference, also clone Cal. 3235. Retains the Fliplock diver’s extension on the Oysterlock clasp. Available alongside the 136660 on the pre-owned market at competitive pricing
- Deepsea 136660 / 126660 Black Dial — Same 44mm architecture with classic matte black dial in both current (136660) and previous-generation (126660) configurations
Collector Notes: Ring Lock System & Helium Escape Valve
The primary inspection points on a Deepsea super clone are the Ring Lock System engraving, the helium escape valve profile, and the D-Blue gradient execution. The inner rehaut ring on Deepsea references carries the “ORIGINAL GAS ESCAPE VALVE” and “RING LOCK SYSTEM” text in deep black-filled engraving. Shallow or misaligned engraving — the most common Deepsea replica defect — is evaluated under magnification before each piece is approved.
The helium escape valve at 9 o’clock must sit flush against the polished case flank with a matte-finish titanium core. Protruding or recessed HEV is the second most cited defect on Deepsea replicas.
On D-Blue dial variants, the gradient must transition smoothly from deep blue at the 12 o’clock zone to flat black at the base of the dial without a visible horizontal band at the colour boundary. Every Sea-Dweller’s bezel click resistance, dial printing, and Glidelock clasp tolerance is evaluated through our pre-shipment quality control process before dispatch.
