One habit matters most: always make sure the winding crown is fully screwed down before the watch meets any water. It’s the single best thing you can do to keep moisture out.

Hot Water, Steam & Saunas
Why: heat makes rubber gaskets expand and shift, opening tiny gaps for moisture to slip through. Even genuine 100M-rated watches should be kept away from steam.
Swimming & Diving
Chlorine and salt water wear down seals over time, and the moving pressure of a swimming stroke can exceed what static testing covers.
A Word on Warranty & Water
Water Damage Isn’t Covered — Here’s Why
Every piece is pressure-tested before shipping. Even so, water damage is not covered under our warranty.
Most water-entry issues come down to one thing: the winding crown wasn’t screwed down before the watch met moisture. Since we can’t know the state of the crown during everyday use, we’re not able to offer free repair or replacement for water-damaged movements.
If You Want to Take It Near Water
As with most watches of this kind, we’d treat it as everyday water resistance — not a swimming or diving watch. If you plan to be around water more seriously, have a local watchmaker pressure-test and re-seal the gaskets first. It’s standard practice for any watch you intend to swim with, and it’s the safe way to do it.
