Black Bay 58, GMT & Pelagos — Clone MT5400 & Snowflake Hand Specifications
The Tudor super clone collection — spanning the full Black Bay lineage from the compact 37mm BB54 to the GMT and Chrono complication references. Tudor occupies a distinct position between Rolex-derived heritage and independent tool-watch engineering. Our collection covers the matte-anodised aluminium bezel Black Bay series, the grade 2 titanium Pelagos, and the Black Bay GMT with its 24-hour complication — each built to the dimensional specification of the genuine reference.
Tudor Super Clone References
- Black Bay 54 (37mm) — The most faithful to Tudor’s 1954 diver aesthetic. Clone Cal. MT5400 architecture, 37mm case with 46mm lug-to-lug, correct no-guard crown profile, matte anodised aluminium bezel insert, Snowflake hour hand geometry. Three-link riveted bracelet or rubber strap
- Black Bay 58 (39mm) — The primary Black Bay reference since 2018. Clone Cal. MT5400 architecture, 39mm case, gilt or monochrome dial variants, domed crystal, matte anodised bezel. Correct 47mm lug-to-lug on steel five-link bracelet
- Black Bay GMT / Black Bay 58 GMT — 24-hour hand with bidirectional bezel for dual time zone tracking. Clone Cal. MT5652 architecture, correct Pepsi or black-and-burgundy bezel configuration, independent hour hand adjustment without stopping the seconds
- Pelagos (M25600) — Grade 2 titanium case and bracelet producing the correct sub-100g weight versus a steel equivalent. Bead-blasted matte-grey surface finish, ceramic unidirectional bezel insert with luminescent fill, self-adjusting bracelet
- Black Bay Chrono (41mm) — Column-wheel chronograph with correct sub-dial register layout, tactile pusher resistance, and bronze or steel case configuration. Bronze references use authentic bronze alloy that develops natural surface oxidation over time
Collector Notes: Snowflake Geometry & Bezel Finishing
The two primary inspection criteria on a Tudor Black Bay super clone are the Snowflake hand profile and the bezel finish. The Snowflake hour hand carries a square-tipped geometry with luminous fill — the fill must be even across the full square cross-section with no voids or recessed areas visible under magnification. Uneven lume is the most commonly cited defect in collector reviews of Black Bay replicas.
The Black Bay bezel insert uses matte anodised aluminium rather than the polished ceramic of a Rolex Submariner. This distinction is critical: the bezel must absorb light rather than reflect it, and the graduation markings carry a slightly raised profile distinct from a ceramic insert’s engraved channels. On the Pelagos, the inspection criterion is weight — a correctly built titanium super clone should feel noticeably lighter on the wrist than a steel reference of similar dimensions. Every piece is verified against macro-reference images as part of our pre-shipment quality control process, with bezel rotation click resistance and lateral play tested before dispatch.
